St. Rose of Lima Spotlights Their 8th Graders!

Our 8th grade class is wrapping up on their high school acceptances. As of June 12h, our 8th graders have received over $1.5 million dollars in scholarships and financial aid to their prospective high schools!

In honor of their hard work and dedication, we will begin to spotlight our scholars for their outstanding achievements on Saturday. Check out our weekly #SpotlightSaturdays on our Facebook!

Our first 8th Grade Spotlight are Leah Niles-Gilbert & Symir Wilson. These scholars are two out of four Howley recipients. Leah will be attending Merion Mercy Academy and Symir will be attending Malvern Preparatory School on a full ride scholarship through The Howley Foundation. Through The Howley Foundation, our scholars have also received additional coverage in technology fees, transportation, food, sports, uniforms, and much more.

Our next 8th Grade Spotlight is dedicated to Akeem Lacomchek. Akeem will be attending The Shipley School in the fall. Akeem was also accepted to Malvern Prep and St. John Neumann & Maria Goretti High School.

Our next #8thGradeSpotlight is dedicated to Hamidatu. Hamidatu will be attending Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in the fall. Hamidatu was also accepted to Merion Mercy Academy & West Catholic Preparatory High School. Hamidatu also received a The Howley Foundation scholarship to West Catholic as well. We are so proud of Hamidatu and her achievements.

Our next #8thGradeSpotlight is dedicated to Carlos Arroyave. Carlos will be attending Roman Catholic High School. Based on his entrance exam, Carlos was also invited to join Roman’s new academic program, Thomas E. Cahill Honors Program. This program focuses on challenging students in the field of STEM. We are so proud of Carlos and his achievements.

We are so utterly proud, amazed, overjoyed, and encouraged by the accomplishments of our scholars.

Our LAST #8thGradeSpotlight are Spencer & Blake. These scholars are two out of four Howley recipients. Blake will be attending Merion Mercy Academy and Spencer will be attending Malvern Preparatory School on a full ride scholarship through The Howley Foundation. Through The Howley Foundation, our scholars have also received additional coverage in technology fees, transportation, food, sports, uniforms, and much more.
